Fare Thee Well History and Mission

How well do we really know Fare Thee Well?

Did we know that it was and is a church, a church where all paths are welcome.
Did we know that it is a registered Nature Center with walking trails and trail cameras that show the myriad of wild things that watch us in amusement as we walk by.
Do you know that Fare Thee Well sits on top of a fault line in the Earth and that ancient fault is the source of the outcroppings of quartz rock near the lodge that show the path of the fault.
As a matter of interest, the fault passes right beside the front door of the annex building and on down through the field where other quartz boulders mark where hot water carrying the quartz boiled to the surface.

Do you know that Fare Thee Well hosts many events besides the bimonthly music gatherings?
The lodge can be reserved for gatherings and even overnight stays.

Have you walked the trails at Fare Thee Well?
There are several marked trails that curve through the woods and intersect a trail that descends towards White Reservoir and borders Fisher Hill which was once called Blueberry Hill due to the huge numbers of Blueberries and Bears that inhabited the hillside.
Wildlife is no stranger to Fare Thee Well, with ravens, deer and turkeys during the day and Coyotes, fox and occasionally bear and moose at night.

Have you seen some of the quartz boulders marking the fault line?

Have you ever sat beside a ceremonial fire on the Solstice or Equinox?

And then of course there is the music.

And lastly, there is the Lodge that holds the music and the stoves for Winter and the Fireplace that is always lit and tended to.

This is the Fare Thee Well that I know and want to share it with you.
